My shoe problem continues...
The fastest way to get me bright and sparky after work is to put a parcel notice in my letterbox. You see, it takes me 7 minutes to get from my house to the post office. The post office closes 9 minutes after I get home. I never complain about getting back in the car. I zoom down to the post office and collect whatever it is that I have probably been drooling over on the internet for months. In this case: 5 pairs of shoes.
These shoes I bought online in an I <3 Billy sale. For the record, I bought them last year before my newly imposed "I-need-money-for-my-trip-to-Europe" credit card diet. The sale was on one of those invite only exclusive sale websites. Click here if you want to be invited by me. Great eye candy! I use it to window shop in my lunch break sometimes.
These are my purchases from the latest I <3 Billy sale.
Flat ugly indie shoes with built in doilies (sock marks complimentary of a long day at work). These are leather lined and are actually really comfortable. I shall see how they wear in. If they are still comfy after a few outings, I may have to take them to Europe with me.
Yes I know what you're thinking. Either she's photoshopped those shoes to be 3 different colours or she's one of those girls that would buy three pairs of the one style in different colours.
Yes. I'm one of those girls (for the first time in my life). They were cheap. I couldn't decide. I wanted them all. It's my money.
There is nothing for it. These shoes are ugly. They are deliciously, ugly. I loved them from the moment I saw them. I loved them for their hideous, old cat lady, floral and for their unflattering, boring design. I loved them all the more for the fact that they appear (without flowers) in one of my favourite films: Howl's Moving Castle.
The girl in the dress here is Sophie. See her ugly ankle high boots?
Here you can see the detail of the toe. Notice the section of material encompassing the toe, just like my ugly pair.
Here they are again. In this image they do look a little higher than ankle, but in my opinion, anything between ankle and midcalf is interchangeable and unflattering. I know Sophie is meant to be a dag in this film, but I love her style.
That's enough random pictures from the internet for me.
Now. What to wear with my shoes...
